The mission of Textile Design is;
To contribute to the progress of our textile industry, which has a voice in the world with its production technology, capacity, and quality, to support design and brand values by increasing the aesthetic and functional properties of textile products in today’s world, where the visual quality of the products directs the preferences more, with the power of art and design education. In this way, to contribute to the fact that our textile industry has a say in determining fashion trends in the international arena with its unique designs and directing the market. With the awareness that art is the starting point of the design, to use art skills and knowledge in the design process of textile design products, as well as to train graduates who can use textile science and technology adequately at the point of the function and implementation of designs.

With the awareness of the primary importance of visual design in today’s consumer goods economy, to increase the aesthetic value of textile products and to support the unity of art, design, and technology knowledge. To adopt the fact that art education for nurturing ideas about design and expressing them with drawing skills and scientific knowledge about production analysis are integral parts of the textile design profession.
