FASHION APPAREL DESIGN DEPARTMENT QUALITY COMMISSION

Purpose and Scope:
Fashion Clothing Design Department; The purpose of the Fashion Clothing Design Department, Accessory Design Department and Textile Design Department Quality Commissions is to develop quality assurance systems with the education, social contribution and research activities of the Fashion Clothing Design Department and Departments within the scope of the Higher Education Quality Assurance Regulation at Dokuz Eylül University, To ensure the continuity of accreditation and quality improvement studies in order to ensure the execution of internal and external quality assurance and evaluation studies.
Duties, Authorities and Responsibilities of the Commission:
To establish the internal and external quality assurance system of the department related to the development of education and research activities and quality in line with the University’s Strategic Plan and objectives; to identify institutional indicators and to carry out the studies to be carried out in this context in line with the procedures and principles determined by the Higher Education Quality Board; to present their work to the Department Board for approval,
To prepare a strategic plan, including the Quality Commission, education-training and research activities and all the administrative services that support them, and to prepare an information processing-based internal evaluation report, integrated with the performance program and annual report, annually.
Establishment of the Commission and Election of Members:
Heads of the Departments of Art preside over the Quality Commission of the Department of Art. In the absence of the Head of the Department of Art, a Deputy appointed by the President chairs the commission.
If the commission deems it necessary, sub-committees, working groups and advisory boards may be formed, which may include persons who are not members of the commission.
In case of a decrease among the members of the Quality Commission for any reason, a new member is appointed for the reduced membership within one month at the latest.
Working Procedure of the Commission:
The Quality Commission meets at least four times a year, on dates to be determined by the President, upon the call of the President. The meeting agenda, date and place are determined by the Chairman and announced to the members.
The Quality Commission convenes with the absolute majority of the total number of members and takes decisions with the absolute majority of the attendees. Decisions are taken by open voting and majority vote. In case the votes are equal, the decision is deemed to have been taken in line with the vote of the Chairman of the Commission.
The commission transmits the reports it prepares to the administrative units and the faculty members of the department.
