1986-1987 academic year began education. The aim of the training is to educate students who are equipped with the necessary information about the illumination and documentation of the sources from the past in the field of traditional textiles, the preservation of the existing accumulation, the restoration and putting them into daily life and can make new suggestions in terms of design. For this reason, the students studying in our department are equipped with theoretical knowledge as well as practical education.

Our students will contribute to the formation of a conscious generation of designers who will produce products in the field of traditional textiles that maintain their function in many regions of our country and whose contribution to the national economy cannot be underestimated.
